Good thing then that the official app is a must-have for fans, rather than some cheap cash-in on the brand. Results, fixtures, videos, interviews and analysis keep you in the loop at all times.Subway (free) Following Subway’s successful SMS ordering system comes the full-blown iPhone app that lets you order your Sub of the Day – with or without jalapeños – before you set off to collect it. Choose Wheat or Italian Cheese and Herbs, before adding your main filling and topping up with salad, just like you would at the counter. Flicks (free) Remember having to wait until the local newspaper dropped though the letterbox to find what was playing at your local cinema? Well, all the kids are now using the Flicks app that finds your location and shows what’s on at the cinemas closest to you and when. If you dig deeper though, you can also watch trailers and read reviews from a variety of well-known sources.    TVNZ (free) While there’s a general lack of news apps dedicated to events within New Zealand, at least there is one worth owning. TVNZ keeps you up to date with news, sport, weather, a TV schedule and podcasts all on the go. It’s updated throughout the day, meaning that you can follow breaking news and catch up on post-game analysis.Auckland Airport (free) Whether you’re jetting off to the other island, going further afield, or excitedly waiting for a distant relative to land, the Auckland Airport app is a keeper. It might not be anything special in the looks department, but the list-style presentation keeps you fully informed on all arrivals and departures as well as any delays that may impact your journey. New Zealand Radio Streams ($1.29) This is the only app on the list that isn’t free, but it’s worth it. You can easily search New Zealand’s vast array of radio stations, store your favourites, view your listening history and even use the radio as an alarm. The app also automatically updates itself too, so you can be sure it’s always using the latest information and frequency settings.
