FYI, this story is more than a year old

Continuing today’s theme of live-action film promotion, Microsoft has detailed its six-part live-action series, Bright Falls, that serves as a prequel to the upcoming Alan Wake.

According to a press release from Microsoft, “each episode is designed to bring you to the edge of your seat and spur your curiosity with similar eerie and suspenseful cliff-hangers as in the game”.

The first two episodes of Bright Falls will be available exclusively on Xbox LIVE and at www.brightfalls.com (although the site is currently not live) from April 27. A new episode will be added weekly, culminating in the final two episodes released on May 17.

Bright Falls was shot on location in Oregon, directed by Philip Van, who’s picked up awards at the likes of the Sundance Film Festival and the Berlin International Film Festival among others.
