Announcement: Game Console magazine to transition to online format
Wed, 13th Apr 2011
FYI, this story is more than a year old

TechDay has announced the upcoming transition of its printed Game Console magazine to an online format.

The current, April 2011 issue will be the last in print, with the website hosting all future content in a timelier fashion that’s free to all.

The decision to focus on the online offering has come from a toughening market for print publications in this space, with virtually all gaming industry support and advertising being online focused. Also, the time restrictions that come with producing a physical magazine often prevented us from achieving the relevancy that we strived for.

Subsequently, we’re convinced that we can produce a far superior product – more substantial, relevant and with the latest breaking reviews, previews and news – if we re-allocate all of our resources to the Game Console website.

All of the magazine content that our readers have come to enjoy (and more) will now be offered right here on this very website. And best of all, it will all be available free of charge. In the coming weeks there’ll be some exciting changes made to the Game Console website in order to better accommodate the wealth of content it will now host.

To existing Game Console magazine subscribers, fret not; you’ll receive an offer in your mailbox shortly regarding the remainder of your subscription. We’re confident that you’ll be more than happy with what’s on offer and that no one should feel short changed.

Any enquiries about the move should be directed to TechDay’s operations manager, Matt Brachi.
