Apple plans five new features for iPad 2

Mon, 29th Nov 2010
FYI, this story is more than a year old

The Chinese-based Economy Daily News has reported over the weekend that Apple will add five new features to its second generation of iPad.

Citing unnamed industry sources, the paper says video phone, better mobility, USB port, new display technology and three-axis gyroscopes are the new features Apple wants inside iPad 2.

You'd expect the video phone function to be Apple's FaceTime or something similar and giving the device a USB port would open it up to other peripherals.

The three-axis gyroscopes should also make for better games on the device, though this would need to be taken advantage of by developers.

Over to you. Aside from the mostly obvious features listed above, what else would make you buy a second generation iPad?

Or are you still happy with the your original?

Update: It's now being rumoured that iPad 2 is being readied for a Q1, 2011 launch in the US.
