Tue, 1st Jun 2010
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Sales of iPad have already topped two million in less than 60 days, Apple has said.

Since launch on April 3rd, iPad has shipped out to Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK. It will be available in nine more countries (including New Zealand) in July.

“Customers around the world are experiencing the magic of iPad, and seem to be loving it as much as we do,” said Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO. “We appreciate their patience, and are working hard to build enough iPads for everyone.

Apple says that there are over 5,000 apps already available for iPad and that doesn't include the 200,000 iPhone that should work on your iPad too.

Will you be getting queuing round the block come the New Zealand launch or will your iPhone do for the time being?
