Armageddon 2010 Prepping for Launch

ARMAGEDDON 2010 AUCKLAND is just around the corner! New Zealand’s biggest pop-culture expo gives you the chance to meet the stars of some of your favourite TV shows and movies – not to mention a chance to play some of the biggest upcoming games!

This year’s event features a wide range of special guests, including John DiMaggio (the voice of Futurama’s Bender and Marcus Fenix from Gears of War among many other roles!), Michael Shanks from StarGate SG-1, Johnny Fairplay of Survivor fame and famous Disney voice actor Bill Farmer! Also appearing will be Michael Biehn (Terminator, Abyss, Navy SEALS and Alien), Kristanna Loken (the female Terminator from Terminator 3), Daniel Cudmore (X-Men 3, Twilight New Moon, Eclipse), Kane Hodder (Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th 7-10), David Faustino (Bud Bundy from Married with Children!) and pro wrestler Raven!

A host of game publishers will also be in attendance at Armageddon 2010, including Activision, Ubisoft, EA, Sony and Microsoft. You’ll get the chance to try out this month’s cover game Medal of Honor, PlayStation Move, Kinect and much more.

On3Network is also hosting a fully fl edged LAN at the event. This is your chance to watch some of the country’s best competitive gamers duke it out live onstage! There’s also a trans- Tasman cosplay contest, where participants dress as their favourite pop-culture characters!

Be sure to check out Game Console’s stall for a special promotion and to see the limited edition Kadoya Chuck Greene Dead Rising 2 jacket that we’re giving away to one lucky reader (see pages 2 and 3 for details)!

Armageddon 2010 takes place at Auckland’s ASB Showgrounds from Saturday October 23rd to Monday October 25th. For more info on exhibitors, special guests and their signing schedules, head along to www.armageddonexpo.com.
