ASUS debuts new AMD AI-powered laptops in Australia & NZ

ASUS has announced the launch of its latest AMD-powered laptop range in Australia and New Zealand. The new lineup encompasses AI-enabled models, including the ProArt P16, ProArt PX13, Zenbook S 16, Vivobook S 16, Vivobook S 14, ROG Zephyrus G16, TUF A14, and TUF A16. These laptops cater to a broad spectrum of users, from students and professionals to creatives and gamers.

The new laptops are powered by the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, which is noted for its high performance and advanced AI capabilities. Bradley Howe, Head of Consumer at ASUS Australia, highlights the focus on supporting Australians in their AI journey. He states, "This new AMD lineup builds on our launch of AI PCs earlier this year. Our focus is on supporting Australians in their AI journey, whether they're just discovering AI or are already regularly using it."

He adds, "A recent CSIRO report shows that 68% of Australian businesses have already implemented AI technologies, with a further 23% planning to implement them in the next 12 months. These businesses report an average time saving of 30% across all AI-related initiatives, underscoring the transformative potential of AI."

Peter Chambers, Managing Director, APAC and Country Manager, Australia at AMD, comments, "At AMD, we push the boundaries of what is possible in high-performance computing. Together with ASUS, we are pleased to announce their latest range of AI PCs based on our latest AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor." He emphasises that the new processor combines AMD's latest Zen5 cores, high-performance graphics, and the highest-performing AI PC NPU available, promising to deliver class-leading products.

The ProArt P16 and PX13 are highlighted for their capabilities tailored to creators. The ProArt P16 features a 16-inch high-resolution display, and the PX13 offers a more compact 13-inch form factor. Both models come with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor and offer a free three-month Adobe Creative Suite subscription and a six-month CapCut Pro subscription.

The ProArt P16 is equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU and is designed for advanced AI workflows. Both models also include ASUS-exclusive StoryCube and MuseTree apps to enhance creative workflows.

The Zenbook S 16 is described as a thin, light laptop that combines performance and sophistication. It includes an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor and a 16-inch 3K ASUS Lumina OLED panel. This model is notable for its slim design, being only 1.1 cm thick and weighing 1.5 kg. Its battery life is up to 20 hours.

The Vivobook S 16 and S 14 models have been refreshed to incorporate the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor. These laptops are designed for everyday use, featuring slimmer and lighter designs, exceptional portability, and performance enhancements.

The gaming segment sees the launch of the TUF Gaming A14, A16, and the ROG Zephyrus G16. The TUF series offers new ultraportable chassis designs and is powered by the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor with dedicated NVIDIA GPUs. The ROG Zephyrus G16 focuses on combining performance with a premium aluminium chassis, featuring an AMD Ryzen 9 AI HX 370 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPU.

These new ASUS models aim to address the increasing demand for high-performance AI-enabled PCs. The latest offerings are designed to enhance user experiences across various applications, including creation, productivity, learning, and gaming.
