Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable to release on Meta Quest

Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable, a first-person action-adventure VR platformer, will be released on the Meta Quest Pro, 2, and 3 via Early Access on the Meta Quest Store, starting Tuesday, July 23 2024. Based on the popular manga series with over 120 million global fans, the game will initially feature the first two chapters, each providing 2-3 hours of gameplay.

In this VR iteration, players take on the role of an aspiring recruit in the Scout Regiment. They are tasked with defending humanity from Titans that have breached Wall Maria. The game utilises Omni-Directional Mobility (ODM) Gear, allowing players to navigate urban environments swiftly and engage the Titans effectively.

Players will participate in various missions, such as outpost defence and securing supply drops to aid fellow soldiers in combat. These missions include dealing with an array of towering Titans that will increase in difficulty as the game progresses. Completing these objectives earns more stars, which can be used to unlock better equipment and new skills.

To create an immersive experience, the game developers have accurately scaled cityscapes ranging from two to eight storeys tall. Moreover, the voice actors from both the English and Japanese versions of the anime series will reprise their roles, enhancing the nostalgic feel for fans. The game supports both Japanese and English voice acting and subtitles in both languages.

Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable will be available for USD $4.99. Gamers and fans of the series can follow the official website and social media channels for updates. The developer team is also inviting fans to join the official Discord server, which will launch on July 23, to provide feedback and help refine the game.

UNIVRS, known for their previous work on My Little Witch Academia VR: Broom Racing, is helming the project. The development team's experience with immersive VR worlds will be crucial in engaging Attack on Titan's large, dedicated fanbase.
