DC Super Hero Girls universe, coming to you this year
Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment, in collaboration with other partners, will launch DC Super Hero Girls towards the end of this year.
DC Super Hero Girls is a new superhero universe targeted to young girls and will feature DC Comics’ line-up of female heroes and villains as teens, during their formative years and prior to discovering their full super power potential.
With DC Comic’ icons including Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Harley Quinn, Bumble Bee, Poison Ivy and Katana, each character will have her own storyline that explores what teen life is like as a super hero, including discovering her unique abilities, nurturing her powers and mastering the fundamentals of being a hero.
The franchise will focus on empowering girls with storytelling that helps to build character and confidence.
Designed for girls aged 6-12, it will play on multiple entertainment content platforms and product categories to create an immersive world.

The initial launch of DC Super Hero Girls will include an immersive digital experience, digital content and digital publishing - providing opportunities for girls to interact with characters, learn about the storylines, and engage in customisable play.
TV specials, made-for-videos, toys, apparel, books and other product categories will begin to rollout in 2016.

Mattel is collaborating with DC Entertainment, Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Bros. Consumer Products on DC Super Hero Girls' narrative creation, interactive digital activations and ultimately a toy line launching in 2016. There will also be a line of Lego building sets released.
The Random House Books for Young Readers imprint of Random House Children's Books will be creating a portfolio of books, beginning at the start of 2016.
Random House's publishing program will be complemented by a series of original graphic novels from DC Entertainment.
