Dick Smith launches branded TV models in NZ

Dick Smith has unveiled their first range of flagship TVs, with two Dick Smith branded models. This milestone comes after the relaunch of Dick Smith as an online only store last year.

David Shafer, executive director of Dick Smith says the release of these new Dick Smith TVs provides great momentum for the business going forward.

“In 2016, we relaunched Dick Smith as an online only store with a commitment to provide New Zealand shoppers access to a wide range of products at more affordable prices,” he says.

“After expanding the online store to include access to 5,000 products only half a year ago, we are continuing to build upon this momentum by launching our first Dick Smith TVs in our Kiwi store. We are devoted to increasing the product range in the Dick Smith New Zealand online store, and we’re excited to provide more products that appeal to the Kiwi customer.”

On offer are a 55” 4K Ultra-HD LED TV and a 42” Full-HD LED TV (Full HD). According to Dick Smith “this marks the company’s continued commitment to providing affordable and accessible products to its New Zealand customers.”

At a pricepoint of $699, the Dick Smith 55” TV is built with a tried-and-true Samsung panel that displays images at Ultra HD 4K resolution, “bringing the most minute details to life.”

The Dick Smith 42” TV will be $449 and includes a 1920 x 1080p full HD display with a 4.5 star energy rating, which could be a deal maker for those more environmentally conscious netflix watchers.

Both TVs have live pausing, recording and rewinding capabilities.
