Exciting new sponsorship initiatives for our 2015 Awards

Over the past 15 years, the NetGuide Web and Tech Awards have developed and evolved, becoming the premiere event for web developers and the online industry in New Zealand.

We understand that in this industry we need to be agile and strive for innovation to continue to stand out from the crowd.

That’s why we’re building on our legacy with a more aspirational approach to the web awards this year, and we're inviting you to be a part of it.

For more information on sponsoring a category contact us here.

Here’s how we’re shaking things up this year:

We have updated our name

As technology evolves so do we. To reflect this we've changed the name to the NetGuide Web and Tech Awards.

We've also updated catagories to acknowledge emerging technologies changes that are taking place. You can find out more about our new categories by completing an enquiry here and we'll email you our sponsorship kit straight away.

We’re implementing a progressive voting format

This year voting will take place from March to August. Every month we’ll roll out three new voting categories, and these categories will stay in the spotlight for three months and then close for voting.

This increases the focus on a sponsor’s brand as it’ll be one of three sponsors highlighted, as opposed to being one in 24.

We have greater opportunities to reach voters

Each voter will be asked to join our monthly email newsletter which we will send announcing the next categories open for voting. This will keep the momentum going and generate excitement about the event and sponsors.

We’re optimising smartphones and devices

In 2014 just under a third of all votes were cast from mobile devices, and we expect significantly more in 2015.

In response to this we’ve put a lot of time and effort into optimising our voting site for both tablets and mobile phones.

We’ve hired a professional event manager

Morgan Thomas has joined the Techday team to manage the event and sponsors. He has more than 10 years experience in corporate events both nationally and internationally, in the telco-industries, international business as well as trade and travel.

Thomas says the 2015 ESET Netguide Web and Tech Awards are set to become the most prominent event on the tech calendar.

These are just some of the exciting changes we've made to make the NetGuide Web and Tech Awards bigger and better than ever, generating more votes and a greater return on investment for sponsors.
