FYI, this story is more than a year old

According to a story on The Atlantic, a Maryland man was forced to give up his Facebook password during a job interview with the Department of Corrections.

The American Civil Liberties Union has taken up the cause of the man and sent to the Maryland Department of Corrections.

The ACLU calls the policy "a frightening and illegal invasion of privacy".

Should employers be allowed to ask for your Facebook details and would it make you think twice about the sort of updates and pictures you’re posting to the site?

You can find a video of the Maryland man talking about the case here.
