US-based game maker Stand Alone, Inc. today announced that they are in the process of designing a game for the unannounced Apple tablet, which the company refers to as the ‘iPad'. The company said it is in the process of designing its Crosswords iPhone app for a larger form factor.

The release does not state whether the company has been informed of the tablet or if the announcement is simply forward thinking.

The President of Stand Alone, Ben Gottlieb, said in the release, “We're dedicated to innovating the most efficient, fun and intuitive Crosswords app, and that certainly extends beyond the iPhone.” He added:

“We have been anticipating the Apple tablet as the greatest piece of hardware for App developers since iPhone itself, and Crosswords will be even better on the new device.” Users of the Crosswords app for iPhone recently completed more than half a million puzzles.
