Gen-i wins five-year Ministry of Education access management contract
Gen-i has extended its relationship with the Ministry of Education, winning a competitive tender contract to deliver a cloud-based Identity and Access Management service that will provide secure access to around 32,000 users of Ministry applications or services.
The service will be delivered in partnership with Melbourne-based Hyro, which will provide its Idaptive identity management software, while Infosys will be managing the deployment and ongoing management.
Hosting will be at Gen-i’s local data centers, using the company’s ReadyCloud service.
Users will come from within the Ministry itself as well as the Tertiary Education Commission and the New Zealand Qualifications Authority.
The first application will be delivered by July this year, and the full service will be up and running by November 30.
