Google tech advocate to address Auckland conference
Google Chief Technology Advocate Mike T Jones will be among a group of digital experts from across the globe descending on Auckland next month as part of a conference on how the digital age is changing the way we live and work.
The Project Revolution conference will offer discussion on social media and digital communication, covering topics on a conceptual, inspirational and spiritual level.
The two-day programme will include commentary on social media, mass media and digital communication trends.
Speakers will discuss the impacts of social media, particularly on Maori/Pasifika cultures, as well as in government through political, diplomatic and public policy.
The impact of mobile and location based services in the future, monetization and the protection of intellectual property through security and privacy will also feature.
Boasting 200 attendees and 30 speakers, the conference will be held at AUT University Conference Centre, Auckland on 30-31 August.
