Apple fans who count the cost of their apps are being offered a chance to bolster the range of software on their devices, with the App Store kicking off a 'free app of the week' promotion.
The new promotion was announced in a tweet from Apple's App Store account last week, with 'Cut the Rope: Experiments' the first app to be discounted.
A sequel to the original 'Cut the Rope', the puzzle game's full price isn't more than a couple of dollars, so the discount isn't huge. Even so, it's going to be interesting to see what other apps Apple offers in the scheme - assuming the company carries on the promotion at all.
Go here to download Cut the Rope: Experiments, and keep an eye on Twitter (hashtag #freeappoftheweek) to see what else comes up.
