How to get yourself a free trial of Quickflix
Fri, 15th Jun 2012
FYI, this story is more than a year old

It might just be time to ditch the video store with the new service Quickflix offering a completely free week long trial of their kiwi service.

The service launched in March with over 650 films and hundreds of hours of BBC television content. Plus they've been adding hundreds of new films and hours of television for streaming every month since then.

While the service is normally $9.99, you can trial the service without obligation and at no cost for a week.

We've checked out how the trial works and it's quite easy to follow. You must put a credit card into the system as you register, but you won't be charged for use in the first week. So even if you don't enjoy it as much as we think you will, then you can cancel at anytime in that first 7 days without charge.

Orcon and Slingshot are also currently zero-rating the service, so downloaded material won't have any impact upon users of those ISP's connections, but others should keep a tab on how your going towards your datacap to avoid any bill shocks.

Supported devices include PCs and Apple Macs, as well as Sony's range of internet-connected Bravia TVs, blu-ray players, and the PlayStation 3. Again, more devices will be added in coming months, including TVs, Galaxy tablets and smartphones from Samsung, TVs from Panasonic, and iPhones and iPads from Apple.
