Members of the public are being invited to send uplifting messages to sick kids and their families as part of HP’s e-smiles campaign.

The company has installed an ePrinter in the common area of Ronald McDonald House in Auckland, as well as nine others in facilities around Australia.

People can email messages including photos, cards, drawings, cartoons, jokes and get well letters, and each one will be printed off and put on display.

HP is also donating $75,000 to the charity.

Richard Bailey, vice president of HP’s Imaging and Printing Group South Pacific, says the campaign builds on the success of last year’s e-smiles initiative.

"It’s a truly worthwhile way to use ePrint technology,” Bailey says, "and we look forward to seeing the wonderful e-smiles that are sent through by the public this time around.”
