I hate you, you hate me....
I’ve talked quite a lot about the joy I experience when I cull my friends list on Facebook. It’s literally one of my most favourite things to do and I can’t wait until the next one is due.
Even though I am a big fan of cutting people out of my Facebook life, there are always people on there you just can’t delete. Work colleagues. Mutual friends. Family.
However, there’s a fun new tool you can use to find out if you and a Facebook friend mutually hate each other. It’s called Hate with Friends. Amazing.
Sign into hatewithfriends.com through your Facebook account and you’ll be presented with all of your friends in alphabetical order. Below each profile picture will be a dark pink button the says “hate her” or “hate him”.
If you choose to hate someone, they will now appear in a list called Who I Hate. You can always change your mind and decide not to hate them later on. This is great, considering how many people are incapable of grudge holding.
Now. If said hated person has always joined Hate With Friends and have decided they hate you too, you’ll get a notification
You probably have noted it’s similar to Bang with Friends, an app that allows you to sign into the service via Facebook and then select the friends of the opposite sex that you'd like to, well, bang. Or like Tinder.
But instead of receiving a notification that someone you like likes you back, this is all about mutual hostility.
It’s an anti social tool to poke fun at social networking, and I think it’s great. It’s a great way to make it OK to delete people off Facebook you’d rather not be friends with. It makes it easy to say “look, I don’t like you and you don’t like me. Let’s just unfriend each other, okay?”
No worries. Hate you.
