Dubbed ‘the world's smallest stabilised camera', the Insta360 GO is a tiny camera that weight 18.3 grams and can be mounted pretty much anywhere.

With 8GB onboard storage, the Insta360 GO starts filming with just a push of the record button. There are three shooting modes:

• Standard, Interval Shooting, Slow Motion: Records up to 15 seconds or 30 seconds
• Hyperlapse: record up to 30 minutes to produce up to a 5-minute video
• Timelapse: adjustable interval, record up to 8 hours to produce up to a 9-second video

Shooting resolutions range from 1600x900 at 100 frames per second (fps), right up to 2720x2720 @ 25 fps. The camera's aperture is a fixed f2.1.

The Insta360 team is pushing the fact that this little camera offers hands-free shooting as a magnetic wearable so people aren't messing around with phone displays.

You may associate wearables with bumpy rides, which is why the GO uses FlowState stabilisation to smooth out the video.

There are also a couple of nifty effects – the app's Barrel Roll feature lets users twist shots like a turntable. Insta360 says it's a head-turning effect that looks even better when combined with a hyperlapse.

Smooth, rolling shots used to take expensive gimbals and fancy footwork. GO uses stabilisation and an ultra-wide field of view to make them easy.

To export and edit video, FlashCut auto editing uses AI to combine shots into an edit. “GO can sort content based on theme (e.g. food, cities, smiles) and quality of shot composition. With FlashCut, users can capture, edit and share their day in a few taps.

There's also a full-featured editing tool that allows users to tweak a bunch of things such as transitions, colour palette and playback speed.

The app also lets users easily combine footage from the GO and their smartphone.

Additionally, GO is IPX4 water-resistant, which means is could be submerged in water (depth not specified) for up to 10 seconds.

Of course, there needs to way to charge the camera. GO's Charge Case will charge the GO camera in 20 minutes. The camera will then be able to shoot approximately 200 clips per day (averaging 20 seconds per clip.

To charge the Charge Case, it will take about an hour. The Charge Cast also connects directly to a smartphone for fast footage transfer.
