Gamespot has reported that Electronic Arts has applied to the US Patent and Trademark Office for three trademarks relating to the popular Syndicate game from 1993.

Reportedly, EA has made three trademark applications bearing the title 'Syndicate' pertaining to "games", "entertainment services" and "figurines".

This most recent development is simply the latest in what appears to be mounting evidence that a new Syndicate title is in the works. EA also made a copyright claim for "Syndicate" back in June last year.
