Is Xbox One petition working?
Family Sharing could be making its way back into the Xbox One landscape following an online petition demanding a Microsoft U-turn.
Reported on Games Console last week, the petition has made the tech giant reconsider, or at least claim to be.
The system, which would allow a game library to be shared amongst ten people, was one of the features fans were clamouring for in the petition to re-reverse Xbox One’s policies.
Speaking to IGN, Xbox One chief product officer Marc Whitten said that Family Sharing is not off the cards.
“If it’s something that people are really excited about and want, we’re going to make sure that we find the right way to bring it back," he said.
Whitten admitted that the confusion surrounding their reveal at E3 last month was something the Xbox team needed to work on.
“What it tells me is we need to do more work to talk about what we’re doing because I think that we did something different than maybe how people are perceiving it," he said.
“When I read some of the things like that petition, from my perspective we took a lot of the feedback and we realized people wanted some choice.”
