Keeper Security launches user-friendly passphrase generator
Thu, 18th Apr 2024

Keeper Security, a provider of zero-trust and zero-knowledge cybersecurity software, has announced the integration of a passphrase generator within their Keeper Web Vault system. This tool will provide an elevated level of security while maintaining a user-friendly approach to logins, that can all be generated and stored within the Keeper system.

Craig Lurey, CTO and Co-founder of Keeper Security clarified, "This advancement not only enhances security for both personal and business users, but also simplifies the user experience, aligning with our commitment to providing cybersecurity solutions that are easily adopted, improve security and increase productivity." The generator utilises the Electronic Frontier Foundation's recommended wordlist which includes 7,776 words, dismissing any offensive vocabulary.

The innovative passphrase generator supplements their pre-existing password generator, giving users alternative options to meet specific password requirements. The update also allows users to elect certain symbols to include or exclude based on each individual website's unique requisites. In an era where the protection of sensitive information is crucial due to increasing sophistication of cyber threats, Keeper's integrated password and passphrase generator is a user-friendly solution for generating solid, unique credentials for every account.

Lurey conveyed enthusiasm regarding the venture stating, "We're excited to introduce Keeper's new passphrase integration and password generator updates, streamlining users ability to create high-strength passphrases and passwords to protect their online accounts. This development aligns with our mission to provide cybersecurity solutions that increase security and productivity without compromising ease of adoption."

The updated passphrase generator operates within the existing password generator. It offers users and administrators the capacity to choose their preferred generator, or to enforce a specific one for their organisation. This ensures that every password, passkey or passphrase is personalised according to user specifications, proving the unique blend of resilience, customisability, and a simplified interface offered by Keeper Security.

Key perks of the passphrase generator encompass its robust security which is designed to be resistant to brute-force assaults and password-related cyber threats, the customisation options it supplies to meet security prerequisites such as length, types of characters and complexity, and maintaining an intuitive platform that seamlessly allows users to generate passphrases for their accounts.

Through these moves, Keeper Security reiterates its commitment to empower users with essential tools to stay ahead of malicious actors and the continually evolving cyber threat landscape. The company states it aims to keep its millions of individual users and thousands of organisations they serve protected effectively and efficiently.
