Kim Dotcom bail decision overturned
Wed, 22nd Feb 2012
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Megaupload founder Kim Dotcom has been granted bail, after spending over a month in custody awaiting an extradition hearing, according to an NZ Herald report.

Dotcom was previously denied bail after being deemed a flight risk due to his significant wealth. As part of his bail he is not allowed to use the internet, despite his lawyer arguing that he needs it to communicate with his overseas legal team.

The three colleagues who were arrested with Dotcom have all already been bailed. An extradition hearing was scheduled to take place today.
