KnowNote musical app now singing to the iPad

FYI, this story is more than a year old

A new free app is now available for iPad users that let's them play various different instruments just by using a virtual keyboard.

The app is called "KnowNote" and people can play music without using an actual real-life instrument. A virtual keyboard allows you make music with ease.

All you have to do is assign musical notes to letters to the QWERTY keyboard and you can become a musician yourself. It's fairly easy to use since all you need is an iPAD and you're away.

KnowNote includes popular songs for people to learn such as "Clocks" and "Fireflies." There are also several other songs you can play too. All of the songs are legally licensed, and users can choose instruments from the options given, including the guitar, piano and clarinet.

“Our goal has always been to make music more accessible for everyone,” said Jason Cook, president of KnowNote. “We’re really pleased to be able to offer users yet another way to experience music through the app version of KnowNote.”

KnowNote isn't just an app that allows you to play other people's music either. There is a studio function that allows players to create their own music too.

The app is available for free through the Apple iTunes Store.
