Coinciding with the release of the Stimulus Package map pack tomorrow on Xbox Live, Modern Warfare 2 players can expect a title update that brings much-requested local-host-search functionality.

According to Infinity Ward’s community manager Robert Bowling, the title update will “help our international users find more locally hosted games thanks to how ping is now sorted, and various other code updates that will help improve the overall quality of multiplayer on Modern Warfare 2”.

Also included in the title update is support for the Stimulus Package and adjustments to the One Man Army perk. There will also be a Double XP weekend in support of the new maps, Stimulus and Hardcore Stimulus playlists that are 100% dedicated to the new maps, and Ranger maps will be added to the Hardcore Headquarters Pro playlist on Xbox Live. The Ranger maps in question include Highrise, Invasion, Skidrow and Terminal.
