FYI, this story is more than a year old

We’re heading towards the holiday season and Bioware has announced the ultimate time-waster in the Mass Effect trilogy.

The bundle pack for Xbox 360 and PC is set for a November 6 release, including all three of the Mass Effect games, a foil box and exclusive artwork.

That’s five discs worth of content, which is a pretty massive chunk of gaming but unfortunately there’s no release date as yet for the trilogy on the PS3.

Of course, there’s no reason for that just yet but I’d like to think it’s because of the extra work it will take to adapt the original Mass Effect, which never received a PS3 version.

As someone who very much enjoys his PS3, I’m feeling a little bit left out lately, what with Bethesda refusing to give us Skyrim DLC and now this; did we do something wrong?

In other Mass Effect news, a rumour has popped up on the Hold the Line gaming forums that new DLC is in the works that will follow Aria T’Loak.

Leaked information includes the title ‘Omega DLC’, and the rumour that the extra content will focus on Aria’s attempts to retake Omega from Cerberus control.

Before this leak occurred, Bioware general manager Aaryn Flynn posted a comment that new Mass Effect 3 content would be “coming in the fall."

So, three Mass Effect games, with the potential of more DLC on its way, equals a pretty badass way to spend a few weeks of gaming. I’ll just be waiting here, hanging out.

Waiting for a PS3 release.
