Microsoft hosting Teaching with Technology seminars
Microsoft is this week hosting a series of seminars focused on how teachers and schools can better utilise technology in the classroom.
The Teaching with Technology events are hosted by Microsoft Australia's National Education Specialist Travis Smith, who returns to New Zealand for the week-long tour following his visit in May last year.
The aim of the seminars is to explore new and innovative ways teachers can engage students and improve learning outcomes. The seminars will be held this week from Monday 7 – Thursday 10 September.
Smith will be exploring, developing and demonstrating new and innovative ways for educators to engage more with students, and to improve learning outcomes through the use of pen-enabled tablet computers and collaborative platforms including OneNote, Office Mix and Office 365.
Smith will be stopping off in Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch, Napier and Auckland to deliver the sessions and show educators how they can integrate technology into their teaching.
Smith has over 11 years' experience in the classroom teaching in schools and universities.
