Moto 360 smartwatch headed to New Zealand

A limited batch of the new Moto 360 smartwatch will be available to purchase in New Zealand from 31 October.

The Android Wear smartwatch was specifically designed to help wearers manage their daily tasks with a flick of the wrist.

Powered by Android Wear, the watch uses a circular capacitive touch display, as well as a steel casing and a removable wrist band. It water resistant and have wireless Qi charging. The watch also has an ambient light sensor and a heart rate sensor

The watch supports wireless Qi charging, has a single physical button, Vibration motor, heart rate monitor and is IP67 water resistant. It has 4GB internal storage.

The 360 runs Android Wear, a version of Google's popular Android mobile platform specifically designed for the wearable market. It integrates Google Now and pairs to an Android 4.3 or above smartphone for notifications and control over various features.

The Moto 360 will have a limited release on October 31 at RRP NZ $359.
