Adobe has appointed Paul Robson to lead the vendor's Asia Pacific operations, replacing Craig Tegel.

Robson takes the position of president of Asia Pacific operations, commencing his new role effective immediately. Tegel, who has been with Adobe 17 years, will work with Robson to ensure a smooth transition before departing on July 01, Adobe says.

Robson, who will continue to be based in Adobe's Sydney headquarters, has been with Adobe since November 2012, first as managing director for Australia and New Zealand, then leading Adobe's enterprise sales function across Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and Korea.

Robson says he's excited to lead the Asia Pacific business.

“This is a vibrant, diverse and rewarding region and I'm looking forward to working with our customers as they embark on their own journeys of digital transformation with Adobe.

Matt Thompson, Adobe executive vice president of worldwide field operations, thanked Tegel for his 'incredible contribution' to the company over the years, saying he lead 'extensive growth for Adobe in Asia Pacific'.
