New Crysis 2 trailer, PC minimum specs revealed
Thu, 3rd Feb 2011
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Crysis is a game that's notorious for bringing gaming PCs everywhere to their knees, even today, thanks to its considerable minimum-spec requirements. Well, the sequel is just around the corner, and the minimum specs are much more reasonable this time around.

We don't know the recommended specs yet, but the minimum specs are as follows:

* Internet connection required for activation * OS: XP/Vista/Windows 7 * CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2Ghz, AMD Athlon 64 x2 2Ghz or better * 2 GB RAM * HDD: 9 GB * DVD ROM: 8x * GPU: NVIDIA 8800 GT 512MB RAM, ATI 3850HD 512Mb RAM or better * Keyboard, mouse, or Microsoft Xbox 360 controller for Windows Of course, if this is all a bit too much for your machine to handle, you could always opt for the (presumably nerfed) console versions.

CLARIFICATION - 11.39am: The minimum specs, when compared to those of the original Crisis from back in 2007, are not entirely unreasonable, and most modern PCs should be well equipped to run the game at these settings. Stay tuned for the recommended requirements as soon as they become available.
