Rockstar has officially released the second trailer for its upcoming crime thriller L.A. Noire, which confirms the game's New Zealand release date as May 20th for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

"Set amidst the corrupt and violent undercurrents of Hollywood's post-war Golden Age, L.A. Noire tells the story of World War II hero and aspiring young detective, Cole Phelps, as he solves cases and climbs the ranks of the LAPD", reads the press release from Rockstar.

The following trailer is comprised entirely of in-game footage using developer Team Bondi's impressive proprietary engine for realistic facial animations.
