New Logitech G515 keyboard boasts LIGHTSPEED & KEYCONTROL

Logitech G has unveiled the G515 LIGHTSPEED TKL Wireless Gaming Keyboard, a new addition to its lineup of gaming peripherals. The keyboard is designed with a low-profile architecture that aims to enhance performance and provide a comfortable typing experience for gamers.

Part of Logitech, the G515 features the company's latest technological innovations, including LIGHTSPEED, LIGHTSYNC, and KEYCONTROL technologies. These features are intended to offer both advanced functionality and a sleek, modern design.

The G515 is just 22 mm high and eliminates the requirement for a wrist rest. It features low-profile switches that activate with a distance of only 1.3 mm and have a total travel distance of 3.2 mm, which is shorter than traditional switches. This design enables quicker actions per minute, making it suitable for high-intensity gaming sessions.

The keyboard also includes other comfort-enhancing features, such as a layer of sound-dampening foam, pre-lubricated switches, integrated stabilisers, and premium PBT keycaps. These are intended to provide a smoother typing experience and a less scratchy, more refined sound.

One of the main innovations in the G515 is the KEYCONTROL technology, which allows for significant customisation possibilities. Each key can be programmed to perform up to 15 different actions, providing a wide array of personalisation options, such as macros, audio cues, and lighting effects. KEYCONTROL also includes layers and modifiers like G SHIFT, which allows users to switch entire key layouts with a single press.

The G515 also boasts several additional features aimed at enhancing the gaming experience. It offers convenient 2:1 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Pairing, which allows gamers to connect their gaming mouse via the same dongle, freeing up an extra USB port. The keyboard's LIGHTSYNC RGB lighting system enables users to access around 16.8 million colours to customise their setup and sync all Logitech G gear using G HUB software.

Moreover, the keyboard includes versatile Tri-Mode Connectivity options—LIGHTSPEED wireless, Bluetooth, and USB-C wired data mode—and can operate up to 36 hours continuously on a single charge.

The Logitech G515 LIGHTSPEED TKL Wireless Gaming Keyboard is available in both black and white colour options. It is currently available at LogitechG.com with a suggested retail price of $299.95 NZD for the wireless version and $249.95 NZD for the wired edition, which will be released later this year.
