News: Intel delays new chips, the missing feature in Mountain Lion, iCloud Harmony, and more!
Mon, 27th Feb 2012
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Intel has announced it may be delaying the new round of chips due out any day now, which means we'll also see a delay in the next release of Macs. Intel are now saying their Ivy Bridge platform won't go on sale until 8 to 10 weeks later than initially planned, and the corresponding Mac update in line with the new chips will also be later as a result — however, the age-old adage of "if you need it, buy it now" still stands if you're in the market for a new Mac in the near future. Macworld thinks Siri is the one missing feature in Mountain Lion. It's important to remember that even on the iPhone 4S, Siri is still very much a beta — Apple are constantly tweaking her responses, yes, but currently the iPhone 4S is only Apple device sells that comes with Siri. Still, it's early days and we've only seen one Mountain Lion beta thus far — but if I were you, I wouldn't be holding my breath.

There's a new iCloud ad from Apple that shows just how easy iCloud is to use. It means that all of your stuff is in sync across your devices, and all this happens automatically without any kind of user intervention, in true Apple style.
