It was about early Thursday morning that Apple announced WWDC 2012, their annual conference for developers of iOS and OS X software. WWDC 2012 will take place from June 11-15, and will focus on iOS and OS X. As per usual, the prestigious Apple Design Awards will be handed out at the conference, with Apple prompting developers to nominate their favourite apps now. Unfortunately, tickets for WWDC 2012 sold out in under two hours — a new record, yes, but there are many, many developers who missed out. The CEO of security firm Kaspersky has been quoted as saying that Apple is 10 years behind Microsoft in terms of security. Eugene Kaspersky was also quoted as saying that there is no big difference between Mac and Windows when it comes to malware, and that it's always been possible to develop Mac malware in much the same way that WIndows malware has been developed.

A concept iMac as shown off my 9 to 5 Mac features a touch-screen interface that combines iOS and OS X. Drawing heavily from a recent Apple patent on the matter, the concept touch-screen iMac also features a flexible, tilting base for better ergonomics. The touch-based iMac also features Siri.
