Nexus 6: more Android, more screen, more everything
Fri, 17th Oct 2014
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Motorola has launched the new Nexus 6 featuring Android 5.0 Lollipop, the latest in its line of smartphones designed to show off the capabilities of new Android releases.

The Nexus 6 offers a large six-inch Quad HD display, Nexus 6, and an impressive 13 megapixel camera with Optical Image Stabilisation and HDR+.

The phone boasts a 3220 mAh battery, as well as the Motorola Turbo charger that gives the battery a quick burst of power when it needs it most. Just 15 minutes on charge will give an additional six hours of battery life.

The dual front-facing stereo speakers provides immersive stereo sound ideal for music, movies and games.

Nexus 6 comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop. Android Lollipop introduces Material Design so that content responds to touch and voice in more intuitive ways, and transitions between tasks are more fluid.

New call and message notifications allow users to act on or dismiss them without interrupting what they are doing.

Nexus 6 will be available for pre-order through the Google Play Store in late October, and will be available in Midnight Blue or Cloud White. The phone will be available at both 32GB and 64GB.

Available through retail stores across Australia and New Zealand in November 2014.
