NZ makes 11 billionth electronic transaction
Tue, 26th Mar 2013
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Mobil Mt Roskill will be presented with an award this coming Wednesday, for processing New Zealand’s 11 billionth electronic transaction through the Paymark network.

Paymark, New Zealand’s leading payments provider, will be on site to present the award and celebrate the significance of the $30 transaction, which took place on Thursday, February 28th 2013 at 8:21pm at the local service station.

Acknowledging the transaction as a 'one in a billion' landmark transaction, do you remember your whereabouts on the night of February 28? And if so, was it you?

And given the eight billionth transaction was processed through the Paymark network just over two years ago, it’s a sure sign that Kiwis are reaching for their cards to pay for items now more than ever before.

Are you the 'one in a billion' landmark customer? Were you close? Tell us your experiences below
