Oculus Rift VR headset will be very expensive

For those interested in buying the Oculus Rift headset, you are in for a shock. The launch price is much higher than most people anticipated it to be. The device will cost $US$599 (NZ$900) and is shipping to 20 countries around the world that includes New Zealand. The first shipments start to rollout from March 28th.  Oculus Rift will also be available at limited retailers in April. Apart from the VR headset itself, it also comes with an Xbox One controller, remote and also a free game called Lucky's Tale.  The required PC specs to run Oculus Rift are:  -graphics card: NVIDIA GTX 970 / AMD R9 290 equivalent or greater -processor: Intel i5-4590 equivalent or greater -memory: 8GB+ RAM -output: Compatible HDMI 1.3 video output -input: 3x USB 3.0 ports plus 1x USB 2.0 port -operating system: Windows 7 SP1 64 bit or newer Will you be able to afford the Oculus Rift this year? Not only is the device expensive, but you need a decent PC strong enough to run it too.
