FYI, this story is more than a year old

After nine months on the market, Orcon has updated the pricing plans for customers using its Genius VoIP device, including two new plans for high-volume users.

In addition to the basic $75 per month base plan, which offers 30GB of broadband or 5GB plus  unlimited national calling, Orcon is now offering an $89 per month 60GB plan, a $99 per month 200GB plan, and a $199 per month 1000GB (1TB) plan.

The previous limit was 330GB per month, which cost $320.

Orcon CEO Scott Bartlett says with Ultra Fast Broadband (UFB) on its way consumers are starting to want larger data caps.

"For too long kiwis have needed to watch their data use, and restrict their internet for fear of racking up a big bill," Bartlett says.

"We hope our new plans will encourage people to get more out of the net.
