FYI, this story is more than a year old

Sony Computer Entertainment New Zealand has just announced that PlayStation Network users can now purchase prepaid cards with which to purchase content on the PlayStation Store.

The cards are available in $30 and $50 denominations and can be used to purchase a variety of content ranging from SingStar tracks to expansion packs - even through to the new PlayStation Plus service that provides premium and exclusive PSN content.

“Prepaid Cards for PSN are another great way for users to add content to their PS3 and/or PSP," said Sony Computer Entertainment Director of Sales and Marketing, David Hine. "As PSN continues to grow and offer more content, we think it's important to make accessing this great content as easy as possible."

The cards are available now from JB HiFi, Dick Smith, Noel Leeming, Bond - Bond, Harvey Norman, The Good Guys and Norman Ross.
