Portal 2 delayed until 2011

Originally pegged with a pre-Christmas 2010 release, Portal 2 will now release at an as-yet unspecified date sometime next year.

Valve, the game's developer, announced the delay in typically cryptic and hilarious style by way of a press release entitled "VALVE ANNOUNCES MAKING GAMES IS HARD".

The press release from Valve goes on to explain that Portal 2 simply would not be ready for its intended ship date.

A Portal 2 event was also planned for next week's E3 expo in Los Angeles, although Valve recently announced its cancellation in a similarly humorous fashion.
