FYI, this story is more than a year old

Quickflix, New Zealand's leading online movie company, today announces that it is bringing new release movies direct to the Xbox 360 game and entertainment system from Microsoft. Xbox Live Gold members will now be able to access Quickflix’s pay-per-view service for a wide range of new release movies.

The expanded service complements Quickflix’s existing subscription streaming service on Xbox 360, where entertainment fans can already watch a wide range of blockbuster movies, TV shows and a wide range of kids content unlimited and on demand for a low monthly cost of $14.99.

Paddy Buckley, Managing Director of Quickflix NZ, said: "Our streaming service has already been hugely popular on Xbox 360, and this expanded content offering is great news for entertainment lovers, giving them access to the very latest movies, whenever they want. It also represents more progress from Quickflix as we seek to offer people yet more compelling alternatives to traditional television or cable channels."

Xbox Business Lead for Microsoft New Zealand, Steven Blackburn says: “Adding pay-per-view to the Quickflix app is great news for Xbox Live members. Xbox 360 is designed to be the centre of the living room experience, and this expanded offering from Quickflix offers our customers a fantastic value-add.”

For maximum flexibility, Quickflix customers can also stream to a wide variety of other devices including smart TVs, tablets, smartphones and PC/Macs.
