Review: Belkin Notebook Surge Protector
Sun, 1st Mar 2009
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Belkin’s latest surge protector is small, portable, and comes with a rotating wall plug as well as two power points, phone line and USB charging facilities.

Pros: The rotating plug is very neat, and allows it to fit onto any wall plug where a double adaptor might struggle to fit. In deference to the fact that it’s a notebook design and likely to be in a bag, a cover for the power plugs is provided.

Cons: If you’re plugging it into a powerboard itself, it can make it tip over rather easily. It’s also comparatively costly; even standard surge powerboards are cheaper than this.

Verdict: A big price to pay for portability, but the peace of mind is a good bonus.
