The Illuminated Keyboard is one of those products that really does do what it says on the box – it's a keyboard whose key selling feature is that, like some notebook keyboards, it's backlit for easy key recognition no matter what the light level.
Pros: Aside from the lighting, this thin and light keyboard looks great and has excellent key travel characteristics, which translates into a very comfortable typing experience.
Cons: The backlighting requires a powered USB port; if you plug it into a hub it won't light up, but will work. That's a minor quibble, though, against the rather extreme asking price; $170 for a keyboard that glows in the dark, no matter how pretty, seems extreme to us.
Verdict: A very nice keyboard, but who can afford it?
