Samsung has refused to settle its legal disputes with Apple, only a week after HTC reached an agreement with the American tech giant.

The South Korean company made their stance clear as the rivals continue to fight across the world over ongoing patent claims and lawsuits.

Speaking to Yonhap News, Samsung's mobile and IT division head Shin Jong-kyun said.

"It may be true that HTC may have agreed to pay 300 billion won ($276.6m) to Apple, but we don't intend to at all."

Apple agreed a global settlement with HTC last week, bringing an end to all current lawsuits after a ten-year license established between the warring companies.

Spanning multiple courtrooms across the world, both parties decided to drop the litigation process and instead strike a patent cross-licensing deal for the next decade.

But despite the companies bridging the gap, Samsung has refused to follow suit meaning many more global court dates for the rival firms.
