FYI, this story is more than a year old

Samsung has signed an exclusive deal with TVNZ Ondemand, aimed at bringing the broadcaster's on demand content to customers via the new TVNZ Ondemand app for Samsung Smart TV’s.

Samsung New Zealand Group Product manager Todd Selwyn believes TVNZ Ondemand is just one example of the many different ways a Smart TV can be utilised in the home.

“Now you can sit back and watch TVNZ Ondemand content from the comfort of your couch on a big screen with friends and family,” he says.

“We all know big is best when it comes to content so this partnership provides another good reason to invest in a Samsung Smart TV.”

TVNZ’s General Manager of Digital Media Tom Cotter says the network is excited to partner with Samsung to bring TVNZ Ondemand to Samsung Smart TVs.

“This partnership gives Kiwis another place to watch their favourite shows when they want and is the first of a series of innovations they can expect from TVNZ Ondemand and Samsung in the coming months," he says.

In November TVNZ Ondemand had over 435,000 unique viewers and more than 2 million streams, and the broadcaster says users can download the app by accessing Samsung Smart Hub on their TV and visiting the app store.
