The Resurgence pack gets an official date while rumours of a new developer for the Modern Warfare series emerge.

Activision has said that Infinity Ward's (what's left of it) second batch of multiplayer maps for Modern Warfare 2 will launch on Xbox Live on June 3.

As with the Stimulus Package there's an exclusivity period for 360, so expect a PC and PS3 release in July.

In other Modern Warfare news, Raven Software, the studio behind recent releases such as Wolfenstein and Singularity, is said to have been yanked off all current projects and is now working on the future of the Modern Warfare series.

US blog Kotaku is reporting that the developer has had its next game, one based on James Bond, put on hold. We'll let you know how things pan out.
