EA has announced that a free playable demo for Skate 3 will become available for download from Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network on April 16th.

According to the press release the demo will give players access to the University District in the “all-new skater’s paradise of Port Caverton”. The demo will consist of a series of single and multiplayer challenges including Domination, Own the Lot and Hall of Meat.

Additionally, the demo will also include the all-new Skate School with Coach Frank, which will enable players to further develop their Skate skills. Finally, players will also have the chance to sample the new object dropper, utilising 24 different items to customise the University District to their liking.

The full game is scheduled for a May 14th release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
