Slingshot tops for quality service

FYI, this story is more than a year old

Slingshot is celebrating after being named the best ISP in the inaugural Reader's Digest Quality Service Awards 2015.

Slingshot says it was the ‘clear winner' in the landline and ISP category.

The awards are drawn from surveys of more than 1600 people looking at the customer's personalised experience and satisfaction as well as the company's reliability and understanding of its customer.

Taryn Hamilton, Slingshot general manager, says the award is testament to the company's focus on quality customer service and providing the best possible products to make customers' lives easier and more fun.

“It's all about putting your customers first and giving them great value and great quality products,” she says. “That sort of thinking is what Slingshot was built on.

“Our goal is to not just provide the best value and most reliable broadband in New Zealand but also to give our customers products and features – like Global Mode and data only plans – that are different from anything else that's out there.

Slingshot says it was ‘especially dominant' in the customer satisfaction and reliability areas with survey respondents commenting on the call centre staff's ‘fast simple communication' and expertise to solve internet problems quickly and efficiently.

It also topped the list for the telco customers would recommend to family and friends, Slingshot says.

The win comes as Slingshot parent CallPlus gears up for a legal stoush with TVNZ, Sky TV, Lightbox and Mediaworks, over the global mode offering.

The award comes on top of Slingshot being named best performing broadband provider by Canstar Blue in February.
