Fri, 8th Oct 2010
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced a multiplayer beta for the upcoming PlayStation 3-exclusive first-person shooter Killzone 3 will commence from October 25th. The beta will be exclusive to PlayStation Plus members.

It will give fans the chance to check out the new 'Operations' game type, a new party system and the jetpack and exoskeleton vehicles. It's also a chance for fans to play an active role in tweaking the Killzone 3 multiplayer experience, as the beta provides an opportunity for participants to provide feedback, report bugs and help test the network code.

Keen participants must be quick as access will be granted to the first 10,000 PlayStation Plus subscribers in PAL territories. To be eligible for the beta, simply download the exclusive Killzone 3 XMB Theme from the PlayStation Plus section of the PlayStation store on October 14th and then keep an eye on your email inbox. If you're among the lucky 10,000, you'll receive an email on October 25th with your beta key and further instructions.

Killzone 3 is scheduled for release in February 2011 exclusively on PlayStation 3.
